Construction Contract Executed, Work Underway
The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract for IMC Khurpia was executed on 20 March 2026 and construction work has commenced, with a total of 24.1 kilometres of Right of Way cleared and handed over to the EPC contractor, enabling rapid progress in road construction and other essential works.
Road and Power Infrastructure on Priority
CM Dhami stated that necessary coordination and action are being ensured for four-laning of about 10.7 kilometres of the Nagla–Kichha SH-44, which will provide better road connectivity to IMC Khurpia and play a crucial role in boosting industrial activity in the region.
PTCUL is undertaking time-bound construction of a 400/220 kV substation to ensure uninterrupted and adequate power supply for the project. The CM emphasised that the success of any large industrial cluster depends not only on the establishment of units but also on strong connectivity, reliable power supply and modern trunk infrastructure.
