Ambuja Neotia to Develop Rs 700 Crore Integrated Healthcare and Hospitality Project in Guwahati

Project Overview

Following approval by the Government of Assam led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Ambuja Neotia Group will develop an integrated healthcare and hospitality project in Guwahati on a 2.88-acre mixed-use land parcel at Fancy Bazar, Old Jail Road, with combined investment expected to exceed Rs 700 crore.

The development will include a state-of-the-art 300-bed multi-speciality hospital and a premium 4+ star hotel with approximately 200–250 keys.

Hospital Component

The hospital, to be developed by Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited on 1.46 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 360–400 crore, will offer advanced multi-speciality services across cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, oncology and critical care, positioning it as a referral centre for complex cases from across the Northeast.

The hospital alone is projected to create 1,500–2,000 direct jobs, along with substantial indirect employment through allied services and local businesses.

Hotel Component

The premium 4+ star hotel, to be developed by Ambuja Neotia Hotel Venture Limited on the remaining 1.42 acres with an investment of approximately Rs 350 crore, will feature well-appointed rooms, banqueting and meeting facilities, and multiple dining experiences, supporting Guwahati's growing role as a commercial, medical and tourism gateway to the North-East.

Developer and Track Record

Ambuja Neotia Group, led by visionary entrepreneur Harshavardhan Neotia, is a prominent Indian conglomerate with diverse interests in real estate, hospitality, healthcare, and education. This will be the Group's second healthcare initiative in Assam, following the successful launch of the Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Childcare Centre in Guwahati in 2025.
