What has been announced
Brigade Group acquired the 2-acre Whitefield parcel on 3 August 2026, for a premium residential project with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of ₹475 crore. A Bengaluru land-deal roundup lists the same acquisition for August 2026 with the same GDV estimate. The roundup also records a separate 2-acre Brigade acquisition on Kanakapura Road, with an estimated GDV of around ₹400 crore, announced in July 2026.
The land purchase is the only milestone reported so far. As of 24 August 2026, the latest dated source, no expression of interest, booking, broker launch or RERA filing had been reported for this parcel. The developer has not disclosed towers, floors, unit count, phasing or open area.
Unit types for this project have not been disclosed. Brigade's other Whitefield projects offer larger homes, so buyers should not assume the configuration of this parcel from them.
Location and connectivity
Whitefield is an IT township in East Bengaluru, developed around ITPL and the EPIP tech zone. It is connected to the rest of the city by Old Madras Road and the Outer Ring Road. Whitefield Main Road, Whitefield–Hoskote Road and Whitefield–Sarjapur Road are other named corridors in the locality.
- The Purple Line metro runs from Whitefield to Challaghatta, with 37 stations. The Whitefield (Kadugodi) terminus has been operational since October 2023.
- Kempegowda International Airport is about 40 to 50 km from Whitefield.

Infrastructure coming up
The Pink Line (Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, 21.26 km, 18 stations) does not run through Whitefield. Its elevated Phase 1 section, from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere, is expected to open in November 2026, though an official opening date had not been confirmed when this article was prepared. The underground section is targeted for January 2027.
The Blue Line (Silk Board to KIA Airport, 30 stations) is opening in phases through 2026 and 2027. The Red Line Phase 3A, from Sarjapur to Hebbal, is targeted for around 2031. The upcoming Peripheral Ring Road is cited as a growth driver for Whitefield; its status and completion year are not yet set.
Market context
According to ANAROCK, the average new-launch base price in Whitefield rose from ₹4,780 per sq ft in Q3 2020 to ₹10,850 per sq ft in Q2 2026. The firm puts the rise over the last year at about 9%.
The same ANAROCK data gives a gross rental yield of about 4% for Whitefield in Q2 2026, and a rent range of ₹30,000 to ₹46,000 a month for a 1,000 sq ft 2 BHK.
