Government records identify Tumakuru as one of three nodes under the CBIC, alongside Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Ponneri in Tamil Nadu. The wider industrial corridor program is estimated to cost Rs 50,759 crore and has the potential to attract Rs 5.35 lakh crore in investments and generate around 14 lakh jobs.
Next Steps and Immediate Actions
Nirmala Sitharaman emphasised that the next pipeline of industrial land and infrastructure should be prepared well before the existing inventory is exhausted. The discussions provided a platform for focused Centre-State engagement to resolve project-specific issues and accelerate implementation. The state government has committed to supporting completion of allied projects, including the PM MITRA Industrial Park approved for Kalaburagi.
