Greater Noida Authority to Widen DMIC Link Road to Six Lanes

What was decided

The Greater Noida Authority has initiated the process to widen the 2.5-km road connecting Dada Roundabout to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) Integrated Industrial Township from four lanes to six. The authority has floated a tender for the project, estimated to cost Rs 25.63 crore. The tender was reported on 21 July 2026, and the widening is currently at the tendering/bidding stage — it has not yet been awarded or constructed.

Operative details of the project

Senior Manager (Projects) Satish Yadav said the project will also include footpaths on both sides, RCC drains for efficient stormwater disposal, and a safety wall along the central verge. Construction is expected to begin within one to two months after the tender process is completed.

The route runs between Dada Roundabout and the entrance to the DMIC-IITGN township, forming a key feeder link between the wider Greater Noida road network and the industrial corridor.

Stated purpose and practical effect

Officials said the road widening is part of a broader plan to improve traffic flow and strengthen connectivity to key industrial and infrastructure projects. The upgraded road will provide smoother access to the DMIC township, Noida International Airport at Jewar and the proposed Multimodal Transport and Logistics Hub, benefiting both commuters and freight traffic.

The authority is also widening several other major roads across Greater Noida as part of its traffic improvement plan to ease congestion and improve connectivity between industrial and residential sectors. This link-road upgrade should therefore be read as one piece of a wider GNIDA road-capacity programme rather than a standalone project.

Why the road matters: industrial activity at IITGN

Industrial activity at the DMIC township has gathered pace, with more than 30 industrial plots allotted so far. Five companies, including Haier Electronics, have already commenced production, while two group housing plots have also been allotted. Rising freight and commuter movement into the township is the direct traffic driver cited by officials for the widening.

Background: the Integrated Industrial Township, Greater Noida

The Integrated Industrial Township-Greater Noida (IIT-GN), spanning 747 acres, is a flagship DMIC project located southeast of Greater Noida, abutting the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and Delhi-Howrah railway line. Located just 11 km from Pari Chowk, the site offers excellent connectivity.

The project is implemented through DMIC Integrated Industrial Township Project, Greater Noida Limited, a special purpose vehicle jointly formed by Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) and National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) with 50% equity each. DMIC IITGNL has been notified as an Industrial Development Authority by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under Section 3(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Area Development Act, 1976 vide Notification Number 4478/77-4-18-12N-07(SHA) dated 31 December 2018.

Connected infrastructure the road will serve

The upgraded link road is designed to also improve access toward two other major DMIC-linked projects near IITGN:

• Noida International Airport, Jewar — the region's upcoming international airport.
• Multimodal Transport and Logistics Hub — the Multi Modal Logistics Hub at Dadri, spread across 825 acres, is positioned near the intersection of the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors. The associated Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) near Boraki Railway Station is designed to be a seamless passenger transport hub with access to rail, road, and mass rapid transit systems.
