APCRDA Conducts Grievance Day at Rayapudi, Receives 52 Petitions from Amaravati Farmers

What Happened

On 13 July 2026, APCRDA conducted Grievance Day at its Headquarters in Rayapudi to address the concerns of farmers and farm labourers from Amaravati Capital City. A total of 52 grievances were received during the programme.

Farmers and local residents submitted their grievances to Additional Commissioners A. Bhargav Teja, Kollabattula Karthik, IAS, and T. Rahul Kumar Reddy, IAS. APCRDA Commissioner V. Vijayarama Raju, IAS, reviewed the progress of various departments with officials and Special Deputy Collectors, directing them to resolve public grievances efficiently and work towards the prescribed targets.

Annuity Linkage Support

To further support farmers, APCRDA also facilitated NPCI/Bank linkage services through a dedicated Help Desk, enabling eligible farmers to complete the linkage process for the credit of their annual annuity. APCRDA has published a list of beneficiaries whose bank accounts are inactive in the NPCI system, and such farmers have been advised to approach their respective banks immediately and complete the necessary formalities to reactivate their accounts and ensure proper Aadhaar linkage.

Recurring Programme

Grievance Day is conducted every Monday between 10 am and 1 pm at the APCRDA headquarters in Rayapudi. The authority announced that as part of efforts to strengthen public engagement and improve accessibility, Grievance Day will be conducted every Monday between 10 am and 1 pm at the APCRDA headquarters in Rayapudi. The authority also reiterated that grievance petitions can be submitted daily at its Citizen Grievance Center.

Context: Land Pooling and Farmer Concerns

Amaravati Capital City development is built on land pooling, which forms a core component of Amaravati's development model, involving voluntary contribution of agricultural land by farmers in exchange for developed plots and infrastructure benefits. Grievances focus on issues including re-allotment of returnable plots, land pooling concerns, and related matters linked to the Amaravati capital city project. The Andhra Pradesh government has set a one-month deadline to resolve long-pending land pooling grievances in Amaravati, after a three-member committee led by Union Minister Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar stepped in to revive the decade-old capital project.

What is Next

APCRDA officials announced that grievances received during the programme will be examined and addressed as expeditiously as possible. The weekly grievance redressal mechanism will continue to operate, with the Grievance Day programme conducted every Monday between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, enabling direct interaction between citizens and senior officials, allowing for review of individual cases, documentation of grievances, and initiation of follow-up action by relevant departments.
