Connectivity & Access
LDA Wellness City (Sultanpur Road) — Connectivity: Airports, Expressways, Rail & Metro
LDA Wellness City is a still-forming township on Sultanpur Road, Lucknow, that sits on an already-built highway and ring-road spine rather than waiting for new trunk infrastructure. As of mid-2026 the site itself has only internal road marking underway; the airport, expressway and ring-road links around it are operational, while any metro or rail extension into the township is unconfirmed.

Airport
The relevant airport for Wellness City is Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at Amausi, which is fully operational. Real-estate guides for the Sultanpur Road corridor put the airport at approximately 15 minutes from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport via Amar Shaheed Path. A separate assessment of the connecting Shaheed Path corridor gives a shorter figure of 8.9 km via NH-27 to the airport, measured from the Shaheed Path stretch itself rather than from inside the Wellness City site. There is no dedicated airport link road built specifically for Wellness City — access runs via the existing Amar Shaheed Path/Shaheed Path corridor.
Expressways and national highways
Wellness City's frontage road, Sultanpur Road, is itself a national highway and doubles as the starting point of a major expressway. Per UPEIDA's own project page, the Purvanchal Expressway's starting point: Village Chand Sarai, located at Lucknow-Sultanpur Road (NH-56), district Lucknow, and the expressway is an operational 6 lane access-controlled road with a route alignment connecting Chand Sarai Village in Lucknow District with Haidaria Village in Ghazipur District, having been inaugurated and opened to traffic on November 16, 2021. This gives the corridor direct, already-operational expressway access toward eastern UP.
Westward, the Agra–Lucknow Expressway (opened 2016) connects Lucknow to Agra and, via the Yamuna Expressway, to Delhi-NCR, extending the corridor's reach without any new construction needed on the Wellness City side. Real-estate guides for the adjacent IT City scheme describe the local frontage as direct frontage on Sultanpur Road (NH-731) with master plan road widths of 45m, 60m and 100m within the scheme — the same road Wellness City sits on.
Outer Ring Road (Kisan Path)
The Lucknow Outer Ring Road, locally called Kisan Path and designated NH 230, is described by marketing material for the same corridor as forming the township's boundary, with Eastern boundary is the 150-metre wide Kisan Path — Lucknow's outer ring road, providing direct access to Faizabad Road and Raebareli Road. Independently, Wikipedia's infrastructure entry confirms the ring road is an 8 lane that expand to 10 lanes at key junctions and 104 km long quadruple carriageway (2*4 lanes) road project, and that the 6 lane 11 km long stretch between Kursi Road to Sultanpur road (Kisan Path) has been constructed by the NHAI. As of the most recent tracked update, inauguration of completed parts with a patch from Mohan Road to BKT still inoperative was recorded in March 2024 — meaning the ring road is largely, but not fully, operational.
Rail and metro
There is no dedicated freight corridor or new rail line proposed specifically for the Wellness City site. The nearest suburban rail halts serving the broader Sultanpur Road/Shaheed Path belt are Gomti Nagar, Transport Nagar and Utrahtia on the Lucknow Suburban Railway Line; Lucknow's main terminus, Charbagh, is further into the city.
On metro, the corridor connects to the existing network via Shaheed Path, which offers access to Transport Nagar Metro Station on the Lucknow Metro Line 1, connecting Airport to Munshipulia — this North–South line is fully operational. However, no confirmed metro extension reaches Sultanpur Road or the Wellness City site itself. Lucknow Metro's next confirmed corridor, Phase-1B (Line-2), runs the other direction: it is an 11.165 km long Line-2 connecting Charbagh Railway Station and Vasant Kunj via 12 stations through Old Lucknow, and construction tenders on this stretch were issued in early 2026, unrelated to Sultanpur Road. A separate, broader Phase-2 concept remains undecided: as of late 2025 tracking, Lucknow Metro Phase 2 project in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh is currently on the drawing board. Its Detailed Project Report (DPR) has not yet been finalized by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRCL). At this time, construction on Phase 2 is expected to start no sooner than 2028. Claims of a metro line reaching Wellness City by "late 2026" appear only in promotional property-marketing content and are not corroborated by UPMRC or UPMRCL sources — treat these as unconfirmed.
Ports
Not applicable. Uttar Pradesh is landlocked and no port or inland waterway terminal is relevant to this inland township.
Internal road network
Inside the scheme boundary, LDA's own layout reserves a significant land share purely for roads. According to reporting on the released layout, road construction will be done in 253.67 acres for better transport system... Provision of wide roads is being made, a response to complaints of narrow roads at many places in the colony of Lucknow Development Authority. This will not happen in Wellness City (LDA officials, as reported December 2024). As of early 2026 site updates, actual execution had begun at ground level: LDA has established field offices at Bakkas and Mastemau to facilitate physical possession and demarcation for allottees... Internal 45-meter and 30-meter road marking has commenced. A connectivity link to the wider Green Corridor project was also flagged: the project will directly benefit from the Phase-4 of the Green Corridor, which was recently announced alongside the Green Corridor Phase-2 inauguration. None of this internal road network is yet complete or open to traffic as of the most recent reporting (2026); it is under construction, not operational.
A note on conflicting figures
Readers should be aware that public reporting on Wellness City's exact size and even its village list is inconsistent and appears to change between announcements. An ETV Bharat report from December 2024 puts the project at 1,199 acres costing Rs 1,441-crore, while a UP budget-session update from around the same period cited Wellness City will be spread over 1300 Acres, and 2026 real-estate guides describe a larger LDA Wellness City (1,474 acres) footprint. This page uses the earliest, most officially-sourced figures (1,199 acres, LDA VP-quoted layout breakdown) as the base case and flags the larger, later-dated figures as the scheme's reported expansion — but neither should be treated as final without confirmation from an LDA notification or RERA filing.

Frequently asked questions
How far is Wellness City from Lucknow airport?
Property guides for the Sultanpur Road corridor put Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at roughly 15 minutes away via Amar Shaheed Path. There is no separate airport link road built for Wellness City specifically — it relies on the existing Shaheed Path network.
Will Wellness City have its own metro station?
No confirmed metro line currently reaches Sultanpur Road. The nearest operational station is Transport Nagar on Lucknow Metro's Line 1 (airport–Munshipulia). Lucknow Metro's next approved corridor (Phase-1B) runs through Old Lucknow, and a broader Phase-2 network remains undecided (DPR not finalised, construction not expected before 2028).
What expressway serves the Wellness City area?
The Purvanchal Expressway begins at Chand Sarai on Lucknow-Sultanpur Road and has been operational since November 2021, giving the corridor a ready-made link toward eastern UP. The Agra–Lucknow Expressway provides the westward link toward Delhi-NCR via the Yamuna Expressway.
Is the Kisan Path (Outer Ring Road) finished?
Mostly, but not entirely. It is described as an 8-lane (expandable to 10) 104 km ring road; a Kursi Road–Sultanpur Road stretch has been built by NHAI, and most sections were inaugurated by March 2024, though at least one patch (Mohan Road to BKT) was still not operational as of that update.
Is the internal road network inside Wellness City ready?
No. As of early 2026, LDA had only commenced marking of internal 45-metre and 30-metre roads at site offices in Bakkas and Mastemau. The scheme's own layout reserves roughly 253 acres for roads, but this internal network is under construction, not open for use.
Does a dedicated freight corridor or major rail line pass through Wellness City?
No dedicated freight corridor serves this specific site. The closest rail halts to the broader corridor are Gomti Nagar, Transport Nagar and Utrahtia stations on the Lucknow Suburban Railway Line.
Why do different sources give different sizes for Wellness City?
Reported figures range from 1,199 acres (December 2024) to 1,300 acres (a 2024 budget-session update) to 1,474 acres in later 2026 property listings. This likely reflects an evolving scope as land pooling continues, but no single figure has been confirmed as final in an official LDA notification found in this research.
