Haryana CM Updates Centre on Hisar IMC Progress at NICDIT Apex Monitoring Authority Meeting

What Happened
The Chief Minister participated through video conferencing in the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust on Monday, August 17, 2026. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the meeting, with Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Chief Ministers of various states and senior officials also attending.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the participants on the progress of key projects in Haryana, including the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (IMLH) at Nangal Chaudhary and the Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC).
Hisar IMC Progress Reported
Chief Minister Saini informed that under the BHAVYA scheme launched by the Government of India, a proposal has been sent to the Central Government for developing an industrial park on 108 acres of land in Ambala. He said the process of land acquisition for Phase-I of the proposed Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub at Nangal Chaudhary is being expedited, with completion expected shortly, following which work on Phase-I will proceed and Phase-II can subsequently be initiated.
Regarding Hisar IMC, the Chief Minister said that bids have been received for the EPC project worth approximately Rs 707 crore for the Phase-I infrastructure, and the bids are currently being evaluated. The EPC agency will be appointed shortly.
Master Plan and Infrastructure Work
The Chief Minister added that the process for notification of the master plan has also been initiated, with a target to notify it by August 31, 2026. He further informed that the construction work for canal diversion in Phase-I has already been awarded.
Work related to land approval, connectivity and infrastructure for these projects is progressing rapidly.

IMC Hisar is spread across 2,988 acres and is being developed under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor near the newly inaugurated Maharaja Agrasen International Airport in Hisar, Haryana. With an investment potential of ₹32,417 crore and a project cost of ₹4,680 crore, it is expected to generate 1.25 lakh jobs.
The IMC will house a Skill Development Centre, Convention Centre and Exhibition Hall, Logistics Park and Multi-Speciality Hospital, besides facilities for defence and aerospace, agro-food processing, garment and textile industries and other industrial units.

Immediate next steps include evaluation of EPC contract bids with agency appointment expected shortly. The master plan notification is targeted for August 31, 2026.
