The state government has identified 351 acres (231 acres greenfield and 120 acres in Saraswati Hi-Tech City) for the IMC project. A Shareholder Agreement (SHA) between UPSIDA and NICDIT IMC Prayagraj was executed on 8 November 2024, with a State Support Agreement (SSA) between the Government of Uttar Pradesh, UPSIDA, and NICDIT executed the same date. Environmental clearance was granted by the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) on 10 March 2025.
